From October 9-11, 2019, the "2019 Wuhan Refractory Materials Academic Annual Conference" was held at the Qingshan Campus of Wuhan University of Science and Technology.
This conference was hosted by the Refractory Materials Branch of the Chinese Ceramic Society, the State Key Laboratory of Refractory Materials and Metallurgy (co-founded by the province and ministry), the National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for High-Temperature Materials and Lining Technology, the China Refractory Materials Industry Association, and the Refractory Materials Branch of the China Building Materials Federation. With the theme of "Innovation Leading, Green Development," over 400 experts and scholars from seven countries including Germany, France, Austria, and the United States attended the conference.
This conference welcomed all delegates to strengthen exchanges, deepen cooperation, and seek common development, jointly promoting the continued inheritance and development of refractory materials research. It addressed the technical needs for refractory materials in the development process and accelerated the historical transformation of the global refractory materials industry from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing."
