Center Introduction
The Technical Center of Smile Co., Ltd. is the core R&D institution of Hubei Smile New Materials Co., Ltd. With a floor area of over 2,000 square meters and more than 40 sets of advanced R&D equipment, the center possesses systematic R&D capabilities for new materials such as high-performance micropowders and ceramic granulation powders. It has long focused on independent R&D and commercialization of core raw materials for high-temperature new materials and advanced ceramics, undertaken multiple provincial and municipal key R&D projects, and obtained 9 invention patents and 37 utility model patents, completing over 10 technology commercialization projects. In 2024, it was awarded the Hubei Province Pioneer Workers' Award, and in 2025, it passed the certification as a Hubei Province SME Technical Center, providing technical support for the company's goal of becoming the preferred supplier of core raw materials for domestic high-temperature materials.
R&D Team
Smile Co., Ltd.'s R&D team currently comprises 2 PhDs, 4 master's degree holders, and 2 senior-level professionals, with over 70% holding bachelor's degrees or higher. It is a comprehensive technical team with young and middle-aged professionals at its core.
Led by company founder Dr. Liu Xuexin and senior engineer Dr. Chen Yong, the team also engages Professor Ke Changming from Wuhan University of Science and Technology as its chief expert. Leveraging the university-enterprise collaboration platform, 7 professors and over 10 graduate students participate in project development year-round.
Through mechanisms such as "mentor-apprentice" programs, hands-on project experience, and joint graduate student training, the team has fostered a strong innovation culture. It has produced outstanding talents including a representative to the "Top Ten" of the China Association for Science and Technology, a provincial People's Congress deputy, and a municipal model worker. With its high-quality, high-energy professional strength, the team continues to drive the company's innovative development.
